I have no idea what kind of deck you are planning. Do you want to have all Ages End companions, or "just" the nine companions in your deck?

Cards I recommand are (depending on your further thoughts):

Prized Lagan
Glamdring, Orc Beater
Inspiration
Refuge
Farewell to Lorien
Sworn Companion

Crossroads of the Fallen Kings
...
will finish later too...

I don't know how to used prized lagan.  How would it be helpful?

Making a minion lose fierce is mean! Smallman once played the meanest Troll swarm against me, and I was only running hobbits. Nasty Hobbits they were, I could cancel skirmishes all the time, but why I survived till site 6 was Prized Lagan. It is a truly strong card, considered to be OP/broken since every culture can use it. 1 threat added and your worst nightmare is only coming once....

don't you have to return stern words to your hand at the end of every turn?  Wouldn't multiple copies clog my hand?  Gil, thanks for the lagan explanation.  Elrohir, thanks for the suggestions, you too lego.  Also, if I play multiple copies of stern words, would gandalf prove to be a better starting companion then the unbound hobbits and boromir?
