Well...I hate to post a bad ref, and I'm sure it had probably nothing to do with Olorin, since he's completed a bunch of other trades, but I have never received the cards, unfortunately. Mythdracon. Very good communication, he was up till 3 AM in his time zone trying to close a trade. He's awesome to trade with, packs them well, even insured it. Succesful Trade: Corvus, superfast for airmail. Perfect condition, awesome, and I mean AWESOME DEAL! Trade with Corvus, if you have something he wants he'll give you TONS of cards for it. Successful Trade: AnxiousChieftain, nice trading with you. Good deal, cards came in good condition. Overexaggerated damage to one of his cards . (by small nick I though you meant visible without a magnifying glass.) Successful Trade: OneFathom, cards received. Mint condition, well packaged. Bubble wrap and two extra toploaders! Yipee! (I'm short on toploaders). Definitely nice trading with him! Only complaint is that it took me 10 minutes getting through all the tape and extricating six cards from two toploaders...he taped the toploaders to the inside of the package. Successful Trade: jws88, got the cards! Cards came in mint condition, except Ferny, which came in specified condition. MORE TOPLOADERS!!!!! Although you could cut back on the tape somewhat, took me half an hour to get the cards out... Successful Purhase: Takeo, WOW! Got here REALLY fast! Seriously, very fast shipping, even if he is from Norway. Well packed, and more toploaders. Now if I can unravel the cards from the tape mess... Successful Trade: Pipeweed. Took a while but I got the cards. I'm now ready to slaughter everything. Successful Trade: Anonymous Prodigy, great communication, sweet deal. My dwarf deck is now unkillable . Oh yeah, I was able to extricate the cards from the packaging, for once. Successful Trade: Elf Lvr. Sweet deal. If he needs something, he'll give you a good deal. Successful Trade: Queleri. Great trader, cards arrived in good condition, good deal. Cards arrived VERY fast. My Eowyn wounding deck now has Eowyn, LOOK OUT WORLD!! Successful Trade: Yerkamig. Great trade, awesome deal, card came in mint condition, well packaged. Only regret is that the card isn't working properly in my deck, but that's my fault. Successful Trade: theHobbit13. Great trading with him, fair deal both sides. Cards arrived fast. Successful Trade:
Celebrimbor. Small problem with proper cards, but he rectified the situation and let me keep the mixed up card. Cards in near mint condition. Succesful Trade: Halcyon, great dealing with him, awesome deal. Fast for overseas shipping. And he included an autographed rare companion instead of a C/U. Succesful Trade:
NappyKorn, great dealing with him, fair on both sides, bth got what we needed. Very prompt getting cards in mail. Succesful Trade:
josiah_of_rohan, one of those guys that will trade a lot for what he needs. I mean, a lot. He also sent an autographed rare companion... Personal Trade: CDT PVT Ransom, you can trust him completely. And if he doesn't need a card, he'll trade it off dirt cheap. He gives awesome deals. Personal Trade: Ninja Gimli, great trading with him. He doesn't have much in the way of cards yet, but he's got a few good cards. I can vouch for him as well...he is completely trustworthy. Personal Trade: masswelter13, very easy to trade with, he has a lot of cards, and will trade a lot for a card he doesn't have. Can't help but feeling he got scammed each time I'm through trading him . Personal Trade:
AgentDrake. Good luck finding something he'll trade you, but he'll give you a good deal if you do. 1 for 1 Thorin's Harp for Deagol was awesome (BTW, he has TONS of Deagols). |

Ive done a few trades already.
I purchased some cards from- Mythdracon. Everything went perfect
Ive traded with
Nappykorn- several times already and all transactions have been perfect
********- good transaction with slight communication problems with a poster that doesnt want me to use him as a reference for some reason. But i do consider it a successful trade.
So thats all so far for me so far

Pepin the Breve has been a very patient trader. The first time i sent to him the package was returned because the ink on the front had smeared from getting wet. He was fine with that and the little delay as long as the cards were alright. By that time I had recieved his cards in perfect condition. I then mailed the cards again but a couple months (I believe it was 3) had passed and he still has not recieved them. During that entire wait he hasn't complained once, but has been patient and wiling to wait a little longer as long as the cards arrive and aren't damaged. I felt bad for having him wait because he seems like a pretty decent fella. So I'm going to send him some more cards to replace the first trade that was lost in the mail. I highly recommend him as a trader.  |

I got ripped off by vroengard. He got sixs expensive RoS rares and only send me half the cards I should have gotten. At first I was told that he will still send the missing ones, then I heard some cheap excuses and since weeks he doesn't answer any pm's. I don't think I will get the missing cards ever, so I can't recommend him.

As some of you may know, i have sold my cards and do not collect anymore. I do still check the boards from time to time but not that often unfortunately. Mr. Lurtzy I haven't heard from, but last i knew he didn't get them. Vroengard's cards arrived damaged but i didn't really care because i was in the process of selling them (although he didn't mention they were damaged). Daisukeman, i have no idea what the heck happened to your cards. i recieved yours and was hoping for a lot of future trades together (can't now because I sold my cards  ) anyways it's unfortunate you never recieved your cards. Anyways, that's my small list of trades. Some of the successful trades were multiple times (veBu, King89, Elendil!Urukfear, etc) I highly recommend these traders because they were fast deliveries and just friendly to deal with. |

Well, I'm afraid I'll have to recommend caution when trading with him. He's gotten my end of the trade but I haven't received his after a month, and he hasn't responded to my email request for an update. I'll amend this if the cards do arrive one day, but at this point I'm not holding out hope.

I have a question about the seller "Wildthingsgames" on ebay. This guy has been selling pretty much a foil set a week of MoM, SoG, and MD, (and he also has a lot of RotEL which he doesn't put up for bids for some reason) since the end of May when I started checking Ebay.
Does anybody else find it suspicious that he has so many foil sets of only these particular sets? I mean, if he has such a "vast collection" why doesn't he sell any BoHD or EoF. I've also noticed another seller consistently selling foils from these sets. Is there something special about these sets that make them so common or something? Especially since I thought SoG was a rarer set. Could they be fake?

But I never got it - all though he got both payments from me.
Furthermore, he ignores my mails or any other contacts, I start. I thought, he might be busy, or something happend - but he is still active here.

Hey guys, I received notification from daisukeman that he has not yet received my cards. It has been just over a month (17 November sent) and I have not abandoned hope that they will arrive (US to South America can sometimes take up to seven weeks).
My recommended course of action was patience at this point; certainly the USPS slows down considerably around holiday season, but I also understand the problems that the STPC (Colombian Postal Union) has had in the past and would not be beyond belief if it was indeed taken en route. If this is the case, I have made it abundantly clear that I have no problem sending his cards back; I also have multiple copies of three of the four cards I sent originally that I had no problem including with his cards.
I did want to publicize this as he is rather upset (and accusatory) so anyone can feel free to exercise caution when trading with me until we get this cleared up! I appreciate the support of my trading partners and the references they have given me to point on this site, gabtraders.com, mahasamatman.com, and ebay.com, and I certainly want to do everything in my power to maintain my reputation as a good trader!

Edit: Because daisukeman had not received these cards as of the 5th of January, I had offered to send him monetary compensation via PayPal; however, he has not responded to my private messages since then. I believe it is more than fair to leave the offer to compensate him open for a month as of the time of the original offer (7 January 2010). If he does not respond, I can only presume he has gotten the cards. If anyone has any further recommendation on how to deal with this situation, feel free to send me a Private Message. I have kept all Private Message interactions since our deal was being negotiated if a moderator does feel the need to...well, moderate.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know I made my first purchase from Category1Games.com recently and it was a real pleasure doing business with Scott. While my purchase was a small and specific lot of Vs. System foils (including several uncommon and common foils that had to be searched for), c1g went to great efforts to make sure they had the cards I was looking for. As a further testament to the Scott's efforts, he gave me a great deal on the prices when a disparity between his price list and website occurred. The cards arrived in a small bubble wrap envelope in fantastic condition. And as an added bonus, Scott included a Vs. System promotional foil card from the early sets. It certainly was a great surprise. Most of you who have traded with me on this site know that I take positive references very seriously and usually go out of my way to transact with someone who I hear is a good trader or seller. If people are to be put on a bad trade list for a trade here, the list should be here. If cards are received damaged are not received at all, that can be stated in the reason that person is adding them to the bad list. If it is because the cards are damaged then I can decide for myself if the risk is worth it or not. The truth is that this thread itself is the thread just for this. I have already read and decided on people I will exchange or not exchange with from it alone, and so far so good. So while I'm in here let my put these names in the good exchange list! 90% of bad trading experiences turn into "he said, he said" shouting matches on the boards (let's face it, there are no girls here). The other 10% has someone who just disappears.
The point is, we have a trading references page. If people choose to use the advice of other traders, great. If they still receive that offer that is "too good to be true" (warning sign number one!) and choose to trade anyways, go for it.
There is no way to verify whether or not both traders are indeed "good" traders unless every card is sent to a middle-man moderator who confirms the cards were shipped. Accidents do happen, and while some people do cheat out other traders, there are times where it is a legitimate accident.
If you are uncomfortable with a trader's lack of references, request that they send first. In your case, Lurtzy, and in the case of many others here, people will agree to send first as they are building their trading references.
What's the point of GAB Traders if people don't report bad traders? You should always check out that list before trading with someone you have never traded with before, even if they claim to have references.
I'm sorry that you've been burnt in trades before, but a lot of people have. I think taking precautions is the easiest way to prevent this stuff, but even if you take every precaution in the book you can still get burnt. It's the risk of trading online and even if you check through this thread, there are all sorts of accusations so it's not like the word doesn't get out.

Also, if I have traded successfully with you in the past, I have no problem being a reference for you. I update the list that I keep here from time to time, but checking my mahasamatman.com page (in my signature) or my GAB Traders page (linked in my trading list), you can see other references there. I also have 100 feedback on eBay and don't mind giving references for eBay sellers if I have purchased from them. I can tell you good experiences and bad there. -wtk |

I would like to higlhy recommend Kettie here. He can be a pain in personal debate, or public debate for that matter, but he sure trades great and is even willing to learn your language to finalize the trade |
