Seems that we seem to be getting something going along here. Before we take things furthur, I would like to know who is ready and willing to support and help out in bringing LotR: TCG to a new chapter, and why. If we get a postitive response, then things will slowly shape up. Me and a couple of other guys are willing to take this game furthur, but we can't do it alone. (Also, I'm too inexperienced in matters of such) For the time being, what we have that's already in the process/already done is: -A monthly LotR: TCG magazine which will have anthology booklets -Support of Fierce TCG (Belgium), and SWCCGCC with a possible offer of a joint partnership using their webspace -Several people are working on templates including Ranofer and Sete With your help and support, we can all make this ambition a reality! Cheers, Kenddrick *Those who have voted Yes, please PM me.

Hi Kenddrick - I support the idea of a LOTR PC all the way !!!
A few other points you might like to add to your orignal post:
* We also have support from Star Trek The Continuing Committee with a possible offer of a joint partnership using their webspace * Several people are working on templates including Ranofer and Sete

Ranofer - do you have the expertise to create a web page or redesign one? If you do and are willing that would be fantastic!

So is there a clear list of things that the PC will try to do?

That would depend on the amount of reponse on this poll. It aims to find out who is ready and willing, and who is not. Depending on how many are willing, then we can then decide what options are viable to us in terms of manpower and ability. Right now, I can say there's no PC..yet.

Interesting poll. It is very slow going. And now a second vote against.
Reading the question it says "are you .... ready...."
The two votes against may be against not because they don't want LOTR to rise up again, but because they don't believe the PC as it stands is ready. If that is the basis of their vote, they are indeed right, as we need more people that are willing, and with more experience.
More help is needed, please join the discussion. Good and bad feedback is always welcome!

Well, here's the deal. I was one vote of "No." The reason was I am not ready to bring in a new chapter. In fact, I like the game as it stands right now. I like the community here, I have access to all the cards when I play on GCCG, and my real life decks are almost 100% foiled. I am content playing Movie block online and playing with the few friends I have taught the game. I don't care for the concept of new cards. More players is always encouraged, but that's as deep as I'd go. -wtk

Thanks ket and i understand where you are coming from.
If the PC gets underway it is hoped that new cards would be introduced, and as it stands they may be legal for movie block. Nothing imbalanced, because experienced desginers, players would be responsible for creating them, and playtesters would check them. The PC also would have power to issue errata, etc so any issues that arise would be dealt with in the form of v-cards that you can download and print. I have taken pdf files to a professional printer and had Star Trek cards printed in high quality, on card stock. They look close to the real thing without card backs. Costs about $1 AUD per A4 sheet. Play with slips with coloured backs and you have your new cards.
I can't see any way you will never be able to get these in foil so that may interfere with your decks, but you can always refuse to use them. As for GCCG, i don't know too much about it, but i suspect new cards can be incorporated into the program. I only found the links on these boards to it the other day - looks like an impressive program!
I know you don't like the idea of new cards, but they will only exist if more experienced players come on board and join the PC. And new cards would be a long way off. For now, like you said it is all about promoting LOTR TCG and getting more people playing it.

well see i would rather not have new cards, i would rather have a PC just fix cards like Namarie, Frenzy of Arrows and HKotN, instead of making new cards which could be fun is a lot more work and more of a legal risk.

As I see it, bringing this game to a new chapter doesnt even pass by creating a single new card, or doing all the v-cards, erratas and so on... Bringing this game to a new chapter for me is not letting it pass away, making somehow a "reborn" for the game. For those playing this game and owning every card, etc, it's obviously nothing special, but being able to receive new players, and being able to expand the market for those same players would be great. Something I do miss from this games is the hundred possibilities of game play and therefor hundred of articles and card reviews and perspectives... As a collector I was lacking the gameplay and game experience, I do know how to play the game, I just don't know how to play it like the pros. And thats what Im aiming for right now with my project ideas! Anyway, there are many chances to bring this game to a new level and to make it rise again. Aim willing to put some effort so that can happen ^^

I like what I'm seeing. Clearly Ket, you know much more than I know about cards, combos, and broken elements, and I really would love to see you help us fix these flawed cards. Perhaps we should start a list of the cards that are broken in the fellowship sets so we can get to work fixing the problems

Everything in sets 1-10 has been dealt with by Decipher with one possible exception. Galadriel, Lady Redeemed is under a gentlemen's agreement not to use! -wtk

Hi i'm ready to lift my share of work on this. My first and strongest commitment will lie in the contribution of ideas to new cards or even sets of cards (:
I hope this will all work out just nice (:

I hate to tell you this but that is what we don't want, we want to build a strong system before we jump into V cards are banning/errating cards, right now, the main priority is to build the player base.
