Do wound caused by threats (being placed after Gollum kills a companion in a skirmish) or You're a liar and a thief activates Promise Keeping?

I had to check this one, I felt it was too good to be true.

How come that's true..?
I'm just reading carefully the cards' text and end up with a different reasoning:
threat wounds would be placed after the skirmish ended (if it's against a [gollum] minion), and promise keeping has the word "during" that skirmish..
My guess is that threat wounds wouldn't activate promise keeping.

Thefore you can never assign threat wounds to a companion skirmishing a [gollum] minion. Because: if the threats did bust in another skirmish,  then the [gollum] minion is just an assigned minion.
Someone please tell me I'm right...¿?
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that i'm right...

Consider the order of the skirmish, it will help you understand this painful situation

Gollum (or Shelob) wins
Companion takes a wound
->Companion dies due to this wound, is placed in the dead pile
-->Threat wounds are taken due to this
Skirmish is resolved

Nothing happens in LOTR TCG simultaneously, there is always an order. The skirmish cannot resolve while their are responses taking place, such as the companion dying and then triggering threats.

I'm imploring people I've never met to pressure a government with better things to do to punish a man who meant no harm for something nobody even saw, thats what I'm doing!

Trying to think what if anything happens in between skirmishes, besides selecting the next skirmish. Like TJ said, the end of the skirmish phase is held up until the response chain resolves.

Thank you Thank you Thank you! Your explanation finally helped me to understand how that worked out.

Anyone got a decklist that works off of this delightful grimness? :D
A wizard is never late...nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.

They are all over the Lothlorien sections. Try Movie Block and Standard.
