I can't really say 'updated' anymore but I hate posts that just say 'bump.'
So here's an interesting study:
One time I read a study about five monkeys placed in the same room with a banana on top of a set of stairs. As one monkey attempted to climb the stairs, the entire group was sprayed with icy cold water. A second monkey made the same attempt and, again, all of the monkeys were sprayed with cold water. One monkey was removed from the room and replaced with a new monkey. When the new monkey saw the banana and started to climb the stairs and shockingly, the other four monkeys attacked him. A second of the original monkeys was replaced with another new monkey. As it made its way toward the stairs, it was also attacked. Surprisingly, perhaps, was that the first new monkey also punished the second new monkey with the zeal of the three original monkeys. A third original monkey was replaced with a new monkey and again, this new monkey was attacked by the other four. At this point, half the monkeys that attacked him had no idea why they were doing so. At the conclusion of the test, all of the original monkeys had been replaced with new monkeys, none had been sprayed with cold water, and they all stayed the #$&*@! away from the stairs.
