The League has had some great success these last 2 months, and now its time to pit everyone in a tournament setting.

I am thinking double elimination with Swiss pairing.

This will not happen until the start of next month, and to encourage a fairly speedy tournament, anyone who hasnt played a League game in the month of January will not be eligible.

Can you explain Doube Elimination with Swiss Pairing? Also what format? FoTR still?

Time-zones will still be a real issue for any tournament - not saying it can't be done. I still find it hard to get a game on GCCG at times - but that's my problem i guess Smiley

Either way - i look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Time will be an issue, but as this is (un)official League I will impose certain restrictions on time, and deal with outstanding games accordingly.

Double elimination means losers are placed into a second round of pairings, so there is always another possible path to the final even if you lose your first game. Swiss pairings means facing opponents according to your ratings, which I will determine.
