Hello there!. I have been out for some days, but im back !^^. I got a question for all comunity.....there are any deck or idea for Bilbo RB?...seriously, i got one deck: Starting: Bilbo, bearer of things burgledGrass Ring ( ) Pippin, Friend to Frodo (cant discard my tales) Smeagol, poor crature (i cycle like mad!) Merry, friend to sam (Give the powa!) Sam, Great Elf Warrior ( i choose this sam, coz its very nice in the first sites, i like Sam "remove burden") EventsChance Observation x4 (with this, i give 8-9 plus str to my hobbits, and wint A_A) Practically Everyone was invited x4 (allys, come to me!) Narrow Escape x2 (For Double Move!) ConditionsConsorting with wizards x3 (No Wound for the ring bearer....perfect!) Everyone Knows x4 (The powa for Merry and Pippin) Escape x2 (for those guys) There and Back Again x1 (when everythings is on fire, this could help me!) PosessionRed book of Westmarch x2 (Draw Cards!) Hobbit Sword x3 (anything to say ) AllyHobbit Party Guest x 4 (heal the Farmer) Farmer Maggot x1 (heal The powa of the deck, Merry and pippin, and help to get his 13/14 of str) Master Proudfoot x1 (this guy help to get 2 or more tokes that says "Bilbo RB", and make me Draw Cards) So, with my use, i discover that is a nice deck, heal like mad, and draw cards like mad.....the problem is that at the site 7 or 8 i lost coz my deck die....its over....i want to give some ideas for this problem, or any suggestion is welcome. As u can see, the most cards are "tales", so its hard to be Discarded for the shadow people. Thanks to read A_A

The biggest flaw with Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled is almost any copy of Frodo is better. With Bilbo, you are either going to have to add twilight or burdens. The twilight doesn't help with companions and burdens can be removed but that is a dangerous game you are playing... I like Frodo, Old Bilbo's Heir in decks to heal the allies, or Frodo, Reluctant Adventurer if you are trying to choke. Frankly, I think you have to worry about being overwhelmed with that deck. Once I knock out Merry, you are toast. -wtk

Chance Observation helps a bit vs. overwhelming with Bilbo... but it is indeed tricky to survive with so much twilight output. I understand the coolness of Practically Everyone Was Invited, but otherwise I can't really think of any good reason to run Bilbo in general. Consorting with Wizards isn't enough.

That was a little sarcastic, but a only deck runs into a lot of trouble in Movie. It works better with or support. I do have a Frodo/Sam/Smeagol deck that I play every once in a while...but that's about it. Some people will disagree with me, I know, but I think that a 4 Hobbit deck is bad news in Movie. Great options in Standard though. -wtk

Ive tried using a Bilbo only deck and have only gotten him to work with Gandalf Grey Pilgrim and using the Red Book to just draw massive amounts of cards. So pretty much the deck is just all Strength Pumps and Hobbit Tales.

Bilbo and Gandalf the Grey Pilgrim? I'm curious, could you post your list?

I'm noticing a severe lack of companions to support a deck that floods the pool. And where is burden removal to go along with the fire-breathing Bilbo? -wtk

No. Can draw with him and then draw another four cards in the fellowship phase.

Hobbits in general can be good in a few things, choke, burdenremoval, and healing. They can be potential strong enough to resist high strength minions, so in theory they should do fine. But! There is a but. When they have no support they will die hard. And against corsairs, conditiondiscard or a solid swarm, they generally tend to die. Gandalf could make a good splash, for he makes certain 'wants' accessable
