11, 12, 13. No different than any other set block...the base set and its two expansions. -wtk

And it is crap....hahaha. Very difficult to even build a decent deck. Same goes with Return of the King block, bah, very annoying to make a deck in those formats.

Which Promos can be used? If Anarion is legal, I'll come up with maybe the best possible deck in War of the RIng Block!

No, but you can always make one of those in Casual.

It kinda makes sense, since those are the sets that have new sites.

I agree, when I came back to LotR a couple of months ago, I was wondering why RotK with all it's different mechanics is legal in Standard, but the lack of new expansions did make Standard a formtat where the two different "generations" overlap with each other...

Yeah, we should start a new format. 11-19, we can call it War of the Ring II or something else so as not to confuse it with the War of the Ring Block format. Or better yet, since the War of the Ring block seems to be disliked so much, lets expand it to include sets 14-19. Any takers?

I would suggest "What was Decipher Thinking Block" as a good name for blocks 11-19. Or you could go with the more concise "Mistake Block".

It was almost good. With better support, it would have worked.

what are you talking about!? Sets 11-19 were great what with the addition of resistence and, and, um.... followers? seriously, I really liked set 11. G for Grand was a great card. Maybe by expanding the block to include all 9 sets of second genreation cards we'll find out the block wasn't that bad. Despite that, I think "what was decipher thinking" would be a great block name... jk.

That's true, I was playing sealed Deck with the Saruman Starter from Black Rider against my cousins Movie Deck (Which is pretty good): I took that Deck, 2 booster packs to fill the Deck up to 31/31 and won really easily. Those resistance Hobbits are great in War of the Ring Block, as are resistance lowering Uruks (very nice but mostly overlooked theme). Maybe you guys should try out WotR Block more often as it was Hunters that destroyed LotR, not War of the Ring.
