Hi all

I need some help with a deck. My hope is to make it a semi-choke deck that includes:
Gandalf, Mithrandir
Shadowfax, Unequaled Steed
Glamdring, Foe Hammer
Narya

I had thought about ring-bound hobbits to go along, with Bilbo and Frodo starting, and extra burden removal. The thing is that once I put Bilbo in it's hard not to start to play Hobbit Tales, and once I'm there I always end up wondering if the Gandalf portion isn't weaker than more cards to reinforce the Hobbit Tales theme. (I've seen similar decks  that use Bearer of Obligation but frankly I think it is either too easy to get a bad card draw and kill yourself or you spend too many card slots on deck manipulation.)

I've also thought about just going with Frodo, Sam, and Smeagol, but not sure what the best versions of these there are to accompany Gandalf.

Any ideas?

Well, as it's exppanded, you've got many possibilities, indeed. I say Mithrandir with Gondor is pretty cool (I played that a couple of months ago) cus' you have cards like Might of Numenor for mass healing and, what's most important, also come culture-crossed cards like Sharpen your Swords. You can play Isildur, BoH with some knights, Hero of Osgiliath for Healing Gandi again, maybe you can even get rid of Moment of Respite. You can play a 5-comp fellowship that wont choke, but won't add too much twilight either, so play something like that:

Isildur, BoH
Ring of Doom

1x Mithrandir (start)
3x Boromir, HoO
2x Imrahil, PoDA
1x Garrison of Gondor

1x Shadowfax, US
1x Glamdring, Foe-Hammer
1x Narya

3x Watch and Wait
2x Catapult

4x Might of Numenor
3x Sharpen your Swords
3x Servant of the Secret Fire
2x Reckless Counter

Something like that, it's not complete, maybe some Blade of Gondor or stuff like that, just try Knights with Gandi instead of all the Fortification stuff, works pretty well and makes loads of fun.

I'd probably go with
Isildur, BoH
Hard Choice
King In Exile
Boromir, LoG
Faramir, CoG
Sharpen Your Swords
