Hey guys, I know this is unrelated and I have been largely in and out recently, but I think we need to discuss the superfluous gold being added to posts.
I think that if you are going to post the gold piece symbol, you should be giving a gold piece to someone. Posting it just for the sake of posting the little oatmeal cookie picture kind of takes away from the integrity of the (albeit useless) gold pieces.
I'm not specifically calling out you, Marco, but I have seen those things being thrown up willy-nilly and that kind of ruins the fun of them.
That said, I don't think this league will run any differently than the Fellowship league.

Why not just use smiley faces? When I want ketchup I don't point at a mustard bottle.
The gold piece symbol has some attached intrinsic value to some people and seeing them all over the forums when gold isn't being rewarded for a good or original thought, a pithy rejoinder, or to celebrate the completion of a successful trade*, is disappointing to me.

League is up now. At the moment there is confusion on the R-list/X-list. As this is block, Uruk Regular is fine. In Towers Standard however, he will be R-listed. Watch out for that league soon! |

The way the fotr block league worked (assuming will still be the same for ttt) was, once the first league game has been played, someone (one of the players) will post the result in a yet-to-be created thread called 'TTT Block League Results'. From there, TheJord will update the table whenever he gets a chance. If you check out the fotr block league, you will see exactly how it works. |
