I started work on this new deck idea but I need some help if there is any to be gotten . I had no idea what to even call this deck idea so I did my best to make the title interesting and get some views . Anyway here is the deck list. Bearer and Ring: *The One Ring, The Ring of Rings ( 11R1) *Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom (RB)( 9R+14) Fellowship (34) 2x *Gondorian Merchant ( 7R97) 2x *Galadriel's Silver Ewer ( 18R11) 2x *Nenya, Ring of Adamant ( 9R20) 1x *Aragorn, Strider ( 11R54) (starting) 1x *Arwen, She-Elf ( 15R11) (starting) 1x *Elrond, Witness to History3x *Gandalf, Manager of Wizards ( 7R37) 1x *Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver ( 7R324) (starting) 3x *Glimpse of Fate ( 10U12) 1x *Brooding on Tomorrow ( 10U15) 1x *Secluded Homestead ( 13R22) 2x *Uncertain Future ( 11U26) 2x Final Shot ( 13C14) 4x Still Needed ( 7C29) 1x * Woodhall Elf ( 18C17) 3x *Arwen's Dagger ( 18R5) 1x *Glamdring, Foe-hammer ( 11R35) 2x Ithilien Blade ( 15C62) Main point of the deck is lose and regain initiative as much as possible during the maneuver phase and then again for skirmish. The cards used to lose iniative are Nenya, Ring of Adamant and Gondorian Merchant for the Maneuver phase and Gandalf, Manager of Wizards for the Skirmish phase. The cards to regain initiative are Woodhall Elf and Arwen's Dagger. Just in case i larger minion like Sauron or maybe the Balrog hit the table you can discard cards from hand to make them roam and then hit them with Ithilien Blade then toss Nenya to reheal Aragorn incase you are having trouble with other minions. Each time you lose Initiative you can make a minion strength -4 and possible wound one if needed. Arwen can handle larger minion as she can use the tokens to make the minions she faces eve weaker. The few events can help reinforce the tokens for Arwen later by way of Silver Ewer. Gondorian Merchant can also help Pip be more effective and it pairs well with Hardy Garrison. Glamdring can help get rid of a few burdens that might be causing you problems. Let me know what you think and if there are anythings that can be done to make this deck better .

This deck is preety well built. I've seen a deck like this only without an Itilen blade twist. Awesome. You might consider running Brooding on Tommorow.

Woodhall Elf is supposed to be done at the start of the maneuver, so you can't regain initiative with it...;-)

Woodhall Elf is supposed to be done at the start of the maneuver, so you can't regain initiative with it...;-) Great Catch I modified it some. Woodhall Elf is still great incase you end up playing to many cards in the fellowship phase so I kept on in there. In it's place I added anothe Arwen's Dagger (extra copies can be tossed with Merchant) and added and Elrond, Witness to History to get those lovely Nenya back on Galadriel .

It does seem a shame not to run Brooding on Tomorrow; if you're losing initiative anyway, you might as well discard some conditions! If you need to draw more cards in the skirmish phase so that you can lose initiative again, I might suggest City of the Trees, which is also a very nice combo with Still Needed which you're packing anyway. Or Wells of Deep Memory would help you get cards in your hand again for the double move (though Secluded Homestead does this even better). Thranduil

One idea that would change the deck around a bit is to run Gil-galad, High King of the Noldor to get more cards in hand during the maneuver phase, in addition to threat removal ( Into the West). And if you can get lots of tokens or use a loop, Leaving Forever can provide plenty of ammo for Manager of Wizards. Otherwise, the deck looks pretty tight.

I play tested this deck recently against an opponent using Battleground Uruk-hai and I didn't recieve a single wound (except for the exertions I caused myself). I was truely amazed with this deck . I might try a Gil-Galad/Into the west combo and see if it helps any, but depends on what I need to remove to do so . Also going to remove Hardy Garrison for the more useful Brooding on Tomorrow (can't believe I left that out). Hardy Garrison did nothing for me in my last game when it got played anyway and Brooding on Tomorrow is just more annoying .

Bearer and Ring: *The One Ring, The Ring of Rings ( 11R1) *Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom (RB)( 9R+14) Again, Recommend Faramir.Fellowship (34) 2x *Gondorian Merchant ( 7R97) Would prefer Rohirrim Guard. Would always prefer Rohirrim Guard, actually. He's that good, and makes a sweet combo with Hardy Garrison2x *Nenya, Ring of Adamant ( 9R20) Well...without Galadriel, I'd drop these. Maybe run Hardy Garrisons instead? Or keep it if you don't swap RBs.1x *Aragorn, Strider ( 11R54) (starting) 1x *Arwen, She-Elf ( 15R11) (starting) 1x *Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver ( 7R324) (starting) Solid starting fellowship. Very nice. Possibly add in Glorfindel for Prancing Pony usage, so your Glimpse of Fate can hit immediately.2x Final Shot ( 13C14) I'd cut 'em. Attunement's better.3x *Arwen's Dagger ( 18R5) Don't think you need that many.2x Ithilien Blade ( 15C62) If you drop the merchant, I'd run Anduril over these. That's really it. And its all conditional on if you decide to switch courses with your deck a little and run Faramir. If you want to go pure telepathy, then I'd say your deck is really solid.

Wow very impressive NB, not a smiting yet nice recommendations . I may make another deck with your replacements and see how it goes, and then compare the two decks and see which makes me smile larger.
