So, as the topic says, i'm new to this whole message board role-playing.  I am a highly experienced role player (10+ years of D6 star wars, 8+ years of D20 star wars, and ~7+ years of D20 in general, 3 years 4E D&D, and ~2 years L5R RPG.)  and an author by hobby.  I've looked over the existing threads.  Is all that is occuring is a story written by the players?  Is that how it works?  Please explain, I'm curious.  I'm so curious in fact I already put together a character

I am not as experienced role player, but I love building characters and would be willing to try this out. If we can get some more people, maybe we could start another story, another quest in this beautiful land of Middle-Earth. However, I don't know how exactly does this work. I read some of the previous posts and was really amazed how good they were. I'd like to give it a shot.

I went to wikipedia and looked up message board rpgs and found out that playing a diceless rpg on a board like this is like writing a huge collaborative story.  There are ground rules (IE you can't dodge every attack made against you or you can't write out the actions of other players.)  It seems like the ground rules around here are few, which is fine, it just has to be tolkeinish.  Sadly, aside from our posts hrcho, it appears there hasn't been much activity in the house of bombadil for a while.  If we don't receive any other posts in the next few days, how about you and I start our own play-by-post campaign?
