GCCG Bug Thread
« on: January 22, 2011, 01:12:06 PM »
I'm starting this so everyone can report any bug or problem they have encountered while playing GCCG.

I think this will help Kralik a lot to improve the LotR game experience.

There should be some guidelines to report them but i am not able no state them. I can just try to be as clear and specific as possible to find said problem.

I'll start with two card errors I've found.

First The Palantir of Orthanc isn't allowed by GCCG to be on a TS deck. According to the TS sub-forum it isn't x-listed so we would have to change that.

The second one is a Twilight cost error. Hornburg Wall's shadow number is 6. But when you move to it or check its text it says it costs 7. I think most people go by the text number instead of looking at the actual card while playing.  So this problem actually affects the gameplay.

I think is everything for now. If I found any issue I'll post here.

On twilight error, GCCG counts any companions stacked on The Shards of Narsil as companions in play and displays the wrong number in the blue text.

For example: 3 companions are in play and 1 is stacked on The Shards of Narsil. The Fellowship is moving to The Hall of Kings. Displayed text looks like this:

[4] companions moving to The Hall of the Kings [1].

It's a minor error and in no urgency to fix. Just noting it.

Yes, that is true. I'd have to see if there's any way if the code can discount stacked companions, but I'm not sure that there is. Same problem with Treebeard stacking.

Right, so I figured out the code to discount stacked (attached) companions. Other fixes forthcoming. Thanks for letting me know!

Yesterday, during play, I experienced some heavy lag and while watching a few games, players also complained about it. Is that server related or client related?

Probably server related. Was it only yesterday? Let me know if it keeps up and I can look into it.

Well, this is not exactly a bug... Reflections boosters have no rares from sets 1-6 on GCCG, and I'm pretty sure that they had rares (I even remember a full foil only rare Reflections booster). Can this be fixed? Or they miss rares on purpose?

I think it's more of a limitation of the pack opening code. I'm pretty sure that aside from the guaranteed Reflections rares, the rest of the cards are random. Because of the randomness, they are limited to C/U. Otherwise, you'd be set to get a large number of rares that way.

Is there a way to have the GCCG Deckbuilder show how many FP cards and how many Shadow cards (aside from 1 Frodo and a Ring) the deck has at all times? It's kinda painfull to build decks and have to count it "manually" all the time. Also, I mostly play Fellowship Block with a few friends, and it might be that he screwed up, but if not, whenever a friend of mine tries to heal Aragorn, Ranger of the North at a Sanctuary buy Ctrl+D'ing him, the game clones his Aragorn instead.

You can right click on the decklist and Show Statistics. It will show you all the numbers. Although, I think it counts some things wrong, but I believe the number of Shadow/FP cards is good.

This happens only with Aragorn, RotN?
