The idea with the freeps is to kill with
Unheeded, then heal with
A Light in his Mind +
Shire Countryside. You can even make use of several loops. For example if you have five cards in hand, two of which are
Unheeded, you can discard them both with
Leowyn, losing initiative removing a burden and healing up to five times, then take both
Unheeded back into hand with
Birthday Present, regaining initiative. So... one burden for five heals. Also fairly unique to this deck is that Merry is potentially your best fighter, not someone like
Swordthain who can die to a well timed
Gorgoroth Assassin. The shadow is designed to be able to be discarded by the free peoples side and yet still recover. Just play the ships, take your opponents weapons away and try to keep them from moving on too often. Save all four Black Sails for site nine at which point you can swarm, using
Under Foot to draw cards.
Orc Inquisitor is in there just to make things a bit less predictable; he lets you interfere with your opponent's plans and possibly delay
Derufin.
