Hi Guys! I Found this website today and was glad that there is still an active community for this awesome game!

Here is my question to the LoTR TCG Community.

We currently own and operate a website for full distribution of Star Trek CCG Singles, and want to add Lord of the Rings to our inventory. We have the means to provide virtually every card in the game for rock bottom prices.

The question is, what are your thoughts on the state of this game. Are there a lot of players still? Do people still play competitively, in tournaments, etc? I know Star Trek and Star Wars still have a decently large following, and wondering what the status of this game is.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions, etc, would be greatly appreciated! You can post here, or email us directly! Thank you so much!

Welcome to the boards. To answer your questions briefly, tournaments are scarce, players are few and far between, and most of the people who still play enjoy the game through GCCG.

We would have every card every made. Well, 99% of them. Rares, commons, uncommons, promos, foils etc.

Post them on your site. If you have every card, I'm sure there's bound to be people who want some of them (like me).

I'm sure if you post them with reasonable prices you are bound to sell a bunch of random stuff to people who haven't been able to find specific cards they want, especially foils and cards from sets 15, 17, and 18.

Thanks for the extra input guys! We have literally only done the planning part of the site for now. We have full inventory of a ton of cards, even TnD, Hunters, ROs, what would be difficult is restocking them after they sold! Ahh! We are still a couple months away from anything being up, but its definitely in the works. ONe more question for anyone willing to answer - would commons & uncommons be useful to be available, or are people mostly just interested in rares and foils?? Thanks again!

Common and uncommon foils would be good to.  Basically, you should focus your time on Movie Block foils and cards from Hunters, RoS, and Treachey & Deceit (including commons and uncommons) and then if you have time add the other stuff later.

THanks guys - keep posting please! Looking for more specifics on your play groups, how many people you know that play...what sets you would look for cards from (other than the "hot 3"), etc. For example is there any market for fellowship of the ring non-foil rares? Mines of Moria non foil rares? Etc.? While we would have the foils, the other rares for playing would be of primary concern. Please note that while we are posting here, we do not currently have all of the cards to start this site, but have them sourced, so please avoid PM'ing us asking to sell specific cards...Thank you!

I, for one, play offline with a trio of friends (as opposed to using GCCG or similar systems) and am always on the look out for cards to add to my collection.

As there are several different formats played, including every set, all sets are useful. Foils are probably going to be top priority first though, as they are bound to fetch the most demand. Then i would look around these forums a bit, and concentrate on cards that seem to be appearing often. Chances are they are popular/good cards that people want!
