Although I feel fortunate looking at my collection, regardless of its worth (not much), I doubt I'll ever get back what I spent on it. LotR TCG would not be my idea of a good monetary investment. But it's not like I bought these cards for that, and I value my collection even if its "worth" is little.

Pretty much sums it up best, right here, from Elessar's Socks.  I don't think I've ever once wished I didn't spend the money on my cards because I've enjoyed them so much, and I continue to.  Well put, E.S.

I found one very good e-shop, the last in my country, they have many cards of all sets including reflections.

I cannot agree more. I've just finished selling off my remaining trade stock of LotR (close to 1000 rares and promos with several thousand uncommons and commons) and it would have been very sobering, if I'd paid retail prices in the first place.

I had not spent much on the cards and through trading pretty much all the good stuff had already been gone, so it was better to get something than throwing the cards away. Nevertheless, one should never ever see this game as an investment in monetary terms.

I now have a substantial collection that covers everything (except for a couple of bizarre TF foils I am trying to track down...). Getting my money back would be a lost proposition and it would not feel right anyway. From a player's and a collector's perspective, it is the only to perserve the collection and ENJOY it, PLAY with it.

I'll post pictures of my stuff soon Wink
