Which cards strike you as having the most "flavor"?

As a lover of Tolkien's books and Jackson's movies, the flavor of individual cards (and of the game as a whole really) has always been a big part of what makes lotr tcg so appealing to me. I love it when a card illustrates a character or event in the story or when it does functionally exactly what the title or the lore suggests.

Here are some of my favorites:

Delving -- An old-fashioned word for digging for precious metals or jewels, the title of this card is obviously very appropriate. It also fits perfectly within dwarf culture.

The Underdeeps of Moria -- Deep in the innermost caverns of your draw deck the goblins are lurking!

Ent Draught + Everyone Knows -- If you've seen the extended edition of the The Two Towers movie, you may remember a scene where Pippin drinks water from Treebeard's forest spring and it causes him to literally grow. Pippin asserts that he is taller than everyone, but Merry disagrees, "Everyone knows I'm the tall one, your the short one." So in the card game, ent draught makes hobbits taller (i.e. extra vitality).

Abandoning Reason for Madness -- Just like Saruman, the player who uses this card is likely to exchange good cards for ones that are no better, or even worse. But once in a while, it just might work...

Those are some of my favorite flavorful cards. What are yours?

The Choice of Luthien and Arwen's Fate - I like Arwen/Aragorn cards, even if they're really weak.
Athelas - does what I think it should do, healing and removing Shadow conditions.
Rosie Cotton, Hobbiton Lass - fits Sam perfectly, and I like the picture.
My Axe is Notched and Final Count - capture the Battle of Helm's Deep pretty well. It's a shame that these are so weak; I wish they were stronger.
Merry's Armor and Pippin's Armor - handle their transition better. Why does Ent Draught increase vitality? Doesn't bigger mean stronger?
Final Strike - getting Gollum back at the end makes sense, after Frodo and Sam's journey.
Grimboern - a very interesting way to capture shapeshifting.

Oh yeah, those are some good ones!

Another favorite of mine is Practically Everyone Was Invited. When you use it to play a Hobbit Party Guest it just feels so aesthetically pleasing.

Flaming Brand is one of my favorites since it's used by Aragorn to defeat the nazgul.

Yeah, Imrahil was actually a pretty important character in the book, so I love that we get him in the card game (even though the guy in the picture had only one or two lines in the movie and I'm not sure if the filmmakers actually intended for him to be Imrahil or not).

I like the Wraiths... they're at the edge of being dead all the time (exhausted), they're somehow immortal when they're set up (swept away), still it's very dangerous to call them (as much as Aragorn was afraid to call them himself), which is represented in threats.

Hm, I can think of plenty of game texts that I like, but good flavor...

Ford of Bruinen? Tongue It's an extra Nazgul, site 3, for a push right before sanctuary healing. Simple but gets the point across.

Culture-wise I'd pick Moria swarm, with the way it keeps churning out minions to toss at the fellowship. Doesn't extend to the Borg-ified Firebomb build, though.

Flavor-wise I think Ford of Bruinen would be better if it discarded Nazgul. That would be more in keeping with what actually happened there in the book/movie. But of course then nobody would use it.

Boromir, Lord of Gondor has particularly great flavor, particularly when compared to the rest of the companions in Fellowship of the Ring block. Most of them are "exert for some sort of grand thing to happen" like a defender bonus or a direct wound or a removed burden. But Boromir is straight forward: I **** *****es without ******s.

*lol* Speedy Nazgul goes in... speedy Nazgul goes out.

The same argument could be made for discarding both the Balrog and Gandalf at The Bridge of Khazad-dum, but I'd find that a bit boring. I guess I'd prefer the flavor of these to set up the situation, not end it.
