I'm working on a fantasy themed version of this game with a slight variant of the rules set. Here are some of the concept cards. Keep in mind that the all of the game text is merely functioning as a placeholder until playtesting starts. Because I was in a pinch to get some filler information in place to finalize the templates, you may recognize some gametext. Feel free to comment and critique. I have no idea what these cards are based on, but they look freaking sweet as #$&*@!. Loved them all. Did you make the images yourself?

I made the templates myself. The artwork is mostly form free stock art resources I've managed to find.
The game is based on a fictional fantasy world that I've created. So there are no intellectual property issues with either template design or the game's theme as they are my original creations.
Now that the main templating is done. The next (and most difficult) phase of development is designing the first base set.

Very cool, this is something I will be watching with interest. The cards look great I am interested to see how you build off of the LOTR mechanics. Are you using the Magic Set Editor program to build the cards?

Nope. I'm just using Photoshop for now. I don't know enough about scripting to build the MSE templates. Though it sure would make things easier probably. |

Just an update. I pulled down the blog for the time being because I'm not exactly happy with Blogspot's features and I'm doing a re-write on the comprehensive rules to implement game terms that don't infringe on Decipher's intellectual property. I put up those preliminary images and such to give everyone an idea for the game. The rebirth forums are still up, however.
