Im playing in a sealed deck/draft next week with my local playing group. The starters we are using have had all the random rares removed. so we are allowed to each bring 3 rares from the Fellowship Set.

My first thought was Lurtz, Savagery, and Troop of Uruk-hai purely for stopping power.

So i thought it would be a fun topic, if you could only have 3 rares from fellowship, what would they be? (or actually just any 3 cards in the game to play with in a sealed pool)

Greenleaf, and either Morgul Hunter x2 or Troop Of Uruk-Hai x2; depending on my mood.

Greenleaf, Aragorn HttwC, Tower Assassin Splashable, and can go in any deck! (Fellowship)
Legolas DH for Towers, He's just too good if you get the gorn deck, as opposing decks are likely to be event/possession heavy.

When I first read the thread, first card that instantly came to mind was Aragorn, ROTN. Thinking about it it's hard indeed not to go with Greenleaf, Aragorn, ROTN and Sting. I thought maybe Arwen, DOE instead of Greenleaf, as I'm usually afraid of Nazguls, but I don't know.

RotN or Greenleaf could be good. But I see no point of Sting. You will not have a true choke deck and removing some twilight will not help that much, on the other hand vitality of your ringbearer is much more valuable (as he skirmishes more often and you bid higher) in sealed deck playing. Hobbit Sword is nearly as good as Sting and Frying Pan is way better (and is a common from a small set so chances you get it are not bad).

If you want an anti-Orc card, Greatest Kingdom of My People is way better, maybe together with Gimli, Son of Gloin (although chances of getting Gimli, Farin or Fror are quite good anyway).

Arwen, DoE is not useful in sealed deck, no starter contains Nazgul and they are all U or R, so they will not be played often. Arwen, Elven Rider is far better (as you never have enough vitality on your ring-bearer, especially as even 3 wounds on him are risky, as you may get hit by Isengard Warrior's regroup action).

It's sealed. Sting let's you see their hand and know what's up, which is invaluable information on a Limited environment where decks could have pretty much anything and it'd still be playable. I'd have to go with Greenleaf, ROTN and Sting as well.

I'd switch Sting...for the Ring. haha Isildur's Bane could be handy in a pinch, you never know! Well okay, I guess with Sting you would know...but I'm still going with the Ring! (In addition to Greenleaf and Aragorn, RotN Smiley)

Actually Arwen, Elven Rider, Isengard Warrior and Frying Pan are all Realms of the Elf Lords.
