So I was playing cards with my friend and was trying out a ringound ranger roaming deck and came to a delimma. Mablungs text states "exert mablung to exhaust a roaming minion he is skirmishing". I also had out Pippin Wearer of Black and Silver, and a Unheeded event in my hand which states "if a minion exerts, exert an unbound hobbit to wound that minion". Therefore, my question is this: can you use these two texts in succesion? Since exhausing is done via exertions and not wounding it seems to me you can, however, I wanted to know other players opinions on this.

My second question is this (I feel ashamed not knowing since I've been playing since fellowship  Embarrassed). In defender plus one skirmishes or when a companion is skirmishing more than one minion, and the skirmish is resolved, how are wounds dealt to multiple minions or if the companion loses?

Any help on either of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-Jonathan

You are right, exhausting is done via exertions so you can use unheeded like that. Unheeded is used a lot with Smeagol, Always Helps in that same fashion, exhaust then kill.

That mablung is so awesome with Ranger's Bow btw! Two exertions to take out anybody.

As for skirmishes with more than one minion, once the skirmish is resolved, every minion / companion on the losing side takes one damage + any damage bonuses.

Example:
Aragorn wins a skirmish involving 2 goblin runner's. Each orc takes a damage and therefore dies.
Eomer is damage +1 and beats Sauron and Shelob (Cheesy). Each of those take 2 damage: 1 from the skirmish and 1 from Eomer's damage bonus.

Sweet and thanks for shedding light on the situation, very helpful Smiley However, what would happen in the scenario (aragorn RotN vs the two goblin runners) in which case aragorn loses? Does he then take two wounds (one from each goblin), or just one collective wound?

Oh BTW, if both goblin runners are damage +1, each of them adds 1 to the amount of wounds aragorn would have to take, so he would take 3 damage.

EDIT: You don't wanna lose a skirmish to two uruks Cheesy
