Return of a Pack a Day
« on: February 17, 2013, 06:49:07 PM »
Good news, everyone!

I recently found a store with some LotR product on a shelf, so I bought it.  My haul:

TT anthology
RotEL packs: 15
TT packs: 31
EoF packs: 37
MD packs: 25

Cost: $120 (US)

I don't consider it an amazing deal, but a little better than online prices.

Inspired by this wealth of packs, I'm bringing back a Pack a Day: I'll open a pack each day and post what I get.  Expect the Sunday double-pack post shortly.

Nice foil! I will be interested to know how many foils you pull out of all those packs. 108 packs should get you at least 10 foils I'm thinking.

Foils speculation: 10 seems rather low, as the packs claim an incidence of 1 foil per 6 packs, which would suggest (108/6) 18 foils.  Now since these were loose packs, it is possible someone scaled them and picked out the packs with foils, but I'm hoping for at least 16 foils.
Total foil-count: 1

Pack 3: TT
Southron Commander
Uruk Camp
Weland
Lieutenant of Orthanc
Easterling Axeman
Work for the Sword
Ferocity
Haldir eotg
Hillman Tribe
New Errand
Uruk Foot Soldier

Bad luck with the foils since the first pack.

For sure.  Hard to predict how things will balance out in the end though: I think the first box I did this with had 5 foils in the first half and one in the second half, so there might be a good run later.
