Hello guys, since its something it will take some more time to be worked on, this is probably not a subject for the other topic. I am proposing a new system that will work in parallel with the current, resolving many of the current issues on gemp. What it is about is : having tickets in addition to the gold. The merchant can stay the way it is right now(I believe its working just fine, besides the exploits), but the gold will not be such an exploitable resource. What are the changes in this system:
- New accounts start with 0 gold. Instead they can have 3-4 precons of player's choice and some amount of booster packs. Maybe even receiving those cards after some amount of casual/tournament all card tournaments. They will have a several tournament tickets in addition to the cards, which they can receive asap as the account is registered.
- Each Monday the players will get 5-6 tournament tickets and several booster packs ( for example 5)
- Each all card tournament will require 1 tournament ticket to enter, instead of the current gold tax.
- Each league will require either 6 or 9 tournament tickets to be joined (depends on the type, currently they are either 35 or 50 gold).
- All tournament types will have some tickets involved in the prize pool!
- The merchant will be selling tickets for 6 gold each for people who want to participate in more tournaments, this is a static price, and the merchant WILL NOT be buying any tickets.
- There will be gold involved as well as packs in the tournament prize pool!
What will be solved doing this:
- Newer players will gain some experience before jumping into making collections. They still can start directly with my cards, if they want to.
- Multi-accounts will be near useless.
- The prices of the singles will be a lot harder to be influenced by just a single person, even with multiple accounts.
- All card tournaments will see a lot more play and interest.
I'm looking into hearing your opinion on this system and why do you think it's not good and what the weak points are! Thank you for your attention!
