Hi everyone! I'm wondering why the starter decks on Gemp are different to the ones in real life. There are several discrepancies between the decks I've opened for Sealed Leagues and the physical cards I received when I opened real starters. Some of them are really quite big changes, too.
For example, the Eomer starter from RotK has a copy of
Gandalf, Defender of the West, but no
Elite Rider. The Boromir deck in Bloodlines had no
Dagger Strike, and the Arwen one had no
Elven Bow. Those cards aren't even in the correct set. I'm not complaining as such, but I do feel that if the cards have been changed to make a deck more viable, (which seems to be the case), there really should be somewhere that prints all of the changes, so we can take them into account.
Also, if this is about viability, why does the Faramir Ents of Fangorn starter still have all the useless copies of
Kill Them Now? I am of the opinion that that has the worst match-up of any deck to its counterpart (The Witch King), so if any deck really needs changes, that surely should be one (even if it is just swapping them for the only slightly less useless
Wolf Voices).
If people want me to do so, I'll post all the decks that Gemp use on this thread, but if nobody else cares, I won't. It was just a little frustrating to pull a
Citadel to Gate for the Movie Sealed Block, only to open my Eomer starter to find no Gandalf, and I'd rather not have surprises like that in the future.
