Title: Demoralized Lurkers
Post by: TheJord on October 19, 2008, 06:06:48 AM
3x Demoralized(11U114)
4x Goblin Hordes(11R123)
3x *Cave Troll of Moria, Savage Menace(12R85)
4x *Rallying Orc(12R100)
3x Howling Orc(13S109)
3x Orc Skulker(12C95)
2x Orc Strategist(12U97)
3x Picket Denizen(13S118)
3x Prowling Orc(11C136)
3x Watchful Orc(11R143)
2x *Cave Troll's Hammer, Unwieldy Cudgel(12R86)

This deck is good for either WotR block or Expanded. Get a good Underground run with Watchful, need a good FP to pair it with.

When I played this at tournaments, it was 4x Demoralized, 3x Rallying Orc, 2x Cave Troll of Moria, SM. You can't use less than 4x Demoralized, on the rest it's your call  best [orc] deck, I was very very very disappointed when he got banned, and that was because of a stupid card called mountain troll

I'm really struggling for a WotR block fellowship to match with this.

Any suggestions?

I'd try a dwarven discard deck starting with 2x Subterranean Homestead, 4x His Father's Charge, Farin EoE, 4x Dwarven Warrior, 4x Nobody Tosses a Dwarf and of course plenty of possessions.  Use Frodo's and Farin's Muster ability to cycle cards out of your hand in order to get your Shadow side set up.  Also, maybe thrown in 2x Gandalf, Leader of the Company and a couple of With Doom We Come for additional cycling goodness.

I just started playing the Shadow block this past week so I'm not expert, but the underground abilities seem like a good match. I've built 9 decks between the past two weekends, but I've only had a chance to play with 3 so far.  So far I like the Shadow block, it doesn't seem as bad as people have made it out to be.

I'd try a dwarven discard deck

The sad thing is that they didn't reprint Dwarven Axe like they did Dwarven Bracers.  Discard decks really suffer because of it. :(

I think it would work fairly well though nonetheless.
