My FLGS had a sealed Boromir Starter from Realms of the Elf Lords, so I figured I would pick it up to complete my playset of Boromir, Defender of Minas Tirith. I also wanted to try my luck at random rares. Inside, I found not 3, but 4 rares!
Mines of Khazad-dum
Galadriel, Lady of the Golden Wood
Gates of the Dead City (my fourth copy!)
Our List of Allies Grows Thin
All in all, a nice surprise, especially with the Gates of the Dead City.
Just wanted to share some fun news.

Nice! Some good rares overall too!

Surprising! Also surprising that game stores still have LOTR TCG packs in there! Aren't they all out of print?

I’ve got an FLGS that has a good amount of sealed product left, and they don’t up-sell the stuff (unlike their Star Wars CCG studf that just got a price hike). I built my collection off of their boosters and filled out my starters in the last two years that way.

Nice! My bro and I found the Mt. Doom and a bunch of the Helm's Deep Eowyn starters a few years ago, and one of the local stores was advertising the Countdown Collection on eBay recently; that's about it. A different shop still sells Star Wars Premiere.

All stores I knew sold their main stuff just recently. :(

Hm, what FLGS still have LOTR TCG left? I haven't heard or seen of any recently. Must be way out in non-metropolitan areas, right?
-
A few years ago, I found one in Salem, OR, that still had a lot of product. Unfortunately, they were charging at/above online market value, so I didn't buy any.

My store runs everything at about market value, but the supply is slowing lessening, and I’m not sure they will be cracking boxes to sell packs. I might need to just buy some boxes at some point. Reminds me to inquire what else they have in storage. I was able to get a box of Realms of the Elf Lords two years ago.
