I'm looking to sell some of my stuff, since I won't get playlets anytime soon, just focusing down on the first sets.

so I'm looking to see if there is any interest in buying some of my later sets stuff, I have atlas

one full set of Treachery and Deceit in NM condition and a The Hunters set which is nearly complete (3 cards missing)

If you have any interest please send me a message. I'm not looking to sell these for cheap, else I'll just keep them, but I'm not looking for Ebay prices either, there is some negotiation possible. Smiley

Depending on the messages I'll get I can put up more to sell. But I think these are the more interesting ones Smiley

As far as Starter Decks go, the Mines of Moria starters are the most balanced in my opinion. Gandalf/Moria and Gimli/Sauron.

I'd give those a try! Don't forget you and your friends can play online at Gemp! Hope to see you there.

Have you looked at the starter decks from FOTR? I think they should be ok to start with.

Hi all, I am getting back into the game after being away since probably 2003.  I have a few friends who are interested in trying a demo and was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion for two balanced teaching decks.  I decided to go with Fellowship block since that was the main format when I used to play.

I know there are a lot of tournament level decklists here, do you think those are ok to hand out to someone totally new?  Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.   Thumbs Up

Splashing 1x or 2x Mordor's Strength sometimes gives you a surprise kill.

Here is a tier two Sauron shadow side that you can get started with:

Shadow Draw Deck:
2x Band of the Eye
3x Morgul Hunter
4x Orc Butcher
4x Orc Pillager
2x Tower Assassin
3x Vile Blade
3x Enduring Evil
3x Enheartened Foe
4x Desperate Defense of the Ring
4x Orc Banner
1x Strength Born of Fear

You might want to add a Shotgun Enquea or two.

You definitely don't need Lurtz, Servant of Isengard in a Fellowship block deck. I would argue that more necessary cards include Saruman, Keeper of Isengard, Troop of Uruk-Hai, and Savagery to Match Their Numbers. Most of my fellowship block decks with Uruk-Hai have no more than one copy of Lurtz.

You probably want Hate for Sauron wounding shadows, but you can make some interesting shadow sides with Orc Banner, Enheartened Foe, Desperate Defense of the Ring, and Enduring Evil. Morgul Hunter, Orc Pillager, and Orc Butcher* will do the heavy lifting as minions in that one.
