I still play this game, mostly online, but occasionally in real life.
Perhaps it would be easier if you put this question into the form of a poll?

There's lots of people who still play via gemp. Fewer who get the opportunity to play the physical cards. I still have my cards, but mostly only play via gemp.

Hey I just started playing again on Tabletop Simulator on Steam. It is an awesomegame you can play any board game or card game ever. Has all the LotRtcg cards and feels pretty good. I am trying to find more people to play with!

Permanub, Gemp is where most people are nowadays. Rules enforced with all the cards available to play. Totally free, leagues run every week, ect. Soon to be new cards added based on the Hobbit.

Over recent years, I think I've seen one advertised in Paris (every year), and maybe the US East Coast or South East (less often, possibly only once each).  I was never in the right area for any of the events.

They're actually working on that! I believe the only current holdup is Marcins not having the time yet to approve the changes and implement them with a server restart.

Myself and two others get together locally and play as time permits. Myself and my one friend maybe every other week or so and all three of us maybe every couple of months or so. We use whatever cards and do not stick to any particular block if you will, just makes it easier that way for us.

I have never tried Gemp at all but reading about it off and on up here in the form. I assume that most players stick to playing certain blocks only I am not sure I would care for that to much. Do they have players that are open to using any cards?

For somebody that has never tried Gemp at all period how hard is the learning curve to really catch on to it all. Dealing, Shuffling, Drawing, Pretty much the whole thing? I would love people's input.

Gemp actually does most of the rules and things for you, it mostly amounts to clicking the cards you want to use in the game itself, you don't have to manually shuffle or anything at all like that. Usually the biggest learning curve is dealing with the deck builder which isn't hard after the first two or so decks you build. I think there is a YouTube video online that helps with navigation the site. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions then I'd be happy to answer them the next time I'm on here, though that could be a while.
