Wraiths and Damage

So, if a wraith with 3 vitality is losing to a minion with damage +2 while Swept Away is down, two wounds are placed at the end of the skirmish and it then counts as "exhausted" and the final wound cannot be placed? Is that how it works in physical play, or the mechanics of how GEMP works?

Wounds are placed one at a time. So yes, after taking enough wounds will be exhausted, and cards that affect exhausted [Gondor] Wraiths will apply. But don't forget about keeping the initiative (required trigger), or your Wraiths will be vulnerable again!
