(34 cards)

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The One Ring, The Ring of Rings

Legolas, Of the Grey Company
Faramir, Captain of Ithilien

Aragorn, Thorongil (Prancing Pony Nab)
Rumil, Silvan Elf x 4
Orophin, Silvan Elf x 3
Elven Guardian x 4
Elrond, Witness to History x 3

Aragorn's Bow, Ranger's Longbow
Faramir's Bow, Ithilien Longbow
Legolas' Bow
Elven Bow x 4
Dinendal, Mirkwood Archer

Taking The High Ground x 3
Refuge
Namarie x 2
Hardy Garrison
Into The West x 2

The point of the deck here is to burn your extra comps for archery (conveniently combo-ing with Hardy Garrison) or emergency healing. Then, you use Into The West + Aragorn's Bow for some killing power (with Elrond stacking the deck with a companion to reveal). With a base 8 archery each turn, and easily able to turn it up higher, its hard to go wrong.

FAQs

Q: What happens to this deck when Gollum and Shelob hit the table?
A: The answer is actually quite simple. Gollum and Shelob both die. Aragorn's Bow should be able to take care of them, and you also have Taking the High Ground to easily give you the 12 arrows necessary to score the kill.

Q: What about Invinicble Uruk?
A: This is also quite simple. When an Invincible Uruk hits the table, you simply allow him to skirmish Faramir and Aragorn, and burn your companions with Refuge for healing. The results may not be quite as optimal as against Ninja Gollum, but should still be feasible.

Q: What about targeted wounding?
A: Refuge. Quite simple. As well as being able to sometimes kill off archery before they're able to hit you.

*tests against Ninja Gollum and Easterling beatdown* Twisted!

Quite a pain to play against! I'd say the most annoying thing wasn't Taking the High Ground, but Rumil and Orophin discarding during the fellowship phase to heal their counterparts. *veinpop*

I'd drop Hardy Garrison for Take Up the Bow, since the former was a bit awkward to use without a way of discarding Shadow cards from hand.

The chief dangers I see are being overwhelmed (e.g. a peeved but not quite dead Shelob, Easterling Captain with loads of twilight), and the threats being set off when someone dies. Though if the Shadow player is set back long enough, it might not matter.

Cool deck!

Good idea, but 8 cards is kinda difficult to squeeze in there.

Sorry.

@ES- Should I use Legolas, Fearless Marksman then?

I would like to try this against my Gollum, Keeper of the Invincible Deck, as its designed to kill decks like this with Ghastly Wound, Cleaved and other damage bonuses

If your Shadow can support it, sure. Ditch some Shadow cards, draw into more FP for running--and this deck can run! Either way's fine, I think. I know how fond you are of OtGC. Wink
