Competitive Naya?
« on: January 03, 2009, 09:20:22 PM »
Well, I'm looking for some competitive decks to make IRL, and since my biggest card pool is from Shards right now, I'm looking to build something Naya, based on my pulls (like... Godsire and 3 Ultimatums). Anyways, I was wondering what, as far as you guys know, is a fairly good competitive Naya build I could start to work with.

Maybe you guys can find a bard and have your story of heroic Balrog proximity put into verse.

Godsire kinda stinks and the Naya Ultimatum does too.

I'd just build your typical snatch basics and drop Nacatl and Qasali strategy. Thoctar, trade for Ajani Vengeant, Sarkhan Vol.

Is Naya's ultimatum Titanic Ultimatum? It's amazing in ramp strategies! Play Gift of the Gargantuan, Fertile Ground (Garruk is dropping in price, you might be able to trade your Ajanis for some), Primal Command as a speed bump, and whatever utility creatures you see fit, sky's the limit. I'd OF COURSe keep in mind Wild Nacatl, Woolly Thoctar and Qasali Ambusher, as NBarden said, and some utility burn.
