I am looking for a decent support area possession deck for [Men]... I have never bothered with one so I would like to hear some opinions

How about

Minions
2x Castimar of Umbar, Corsair Vandal
2x Crazed Hillman
2x Legion of Harad
2x Man of Bree
4x Strange-Looking Men
2x Sunland Sneak
4x Sunland Trooper
2x Vengeful Pillager
2x Vengeful Primitive

Possessions
4x Ceremonial Armor
4x Pavise
4x Wildman's Oath

Baisically take advantage of the old SLM/Pavise combo and get tons of minions on you support are possessions then use Sunland Trooper and Vengeful Primitive to play a few of your biger minions and use the minions stacked on possessions to make them better. I've never used this deck by the way i just gave it a try on SDA

I love Bill Ferny with In the Wild Man's Wake. Only maneuver stack minions, with last days let Bill enter the party, or even in skirmish with those skirmish discarding minions....I try to get 2-3x ItWMW in my hand, assign him to the RB and kill....mhuahaha

yeah, but how do you get minions on the possessions, that should be a problem since you cant use SLM, you could use sunland trooper, sunland scout, ted sandyman or vengeful primitive since they can all discard or be discarded without side effects (like having to discard other men minions from the possessions i.e. Stampeding Savage

stampeding shepard, sunland warrior so that are quite a few options.

there are many cards missing, I think, like one copy of last days, important in these decks, mouth of sauron and less copies of the possessions, cause you can search with the mouth, 2 stampeding chiefs, cause you wanna win the game, right? ;) and one countless companies against narsil

How does it work to overwhelm the Ring-Bearer with Bill Ferny? I can say it might work with early greymen - but his additional average strength of six in the skirmish involving the ringbearer is not that much - the ringbearer just needs an additional strength +3 event, and then he can focus on the "main" minions.

In the Wild men's wake is so sweet - but you have to be lucky. In the beginning of the game, you have hardly a minion stacked. And later, it is obviously, that the Freepeopleplayer got some ways to exert Bill Ferny.

To sum up: Keep wounds away of Bill Ferny and you will kill the ringbearer soon with In the Wild men's wake

I think his real ability of adding tokens to the twilight pool works nice with pavise and this possesion deck. Maybe you will give it a try.

Well, not to toot my horn much , but I was the one that devised and schemed up the broken Evil Men loop that led to many headaches and the banning of SLM.

For whatever it is worth, the mechanic of the loop still works.  SLM was just gravy on the system. He pushed it just way out there.  You can still get crazy actions and swarms down.  However, The deck just has to be done a bit differently now.

The biggest issue though was the anti manvr stuff that came out in the last set or two.  Gandy was able to hose all the manvr actions... which totally screwed you after spending like 20 minutes doing various manvr actions...
