Overwhelming urux
« on: May 09, 2009, 11:43:05 AM »
I`ve played this several times and never lost. It just rocks! (also playable in standard as a surprise poorman`s kill ;D)

3x fearless approach
4x brutality
4x Isengard sword
3x weapons of control
4x tyrannical Uruk
4x Invincible uruk
4x uruk outrider
4x Suffered much loss
2x Fortitude
2x Barbaric uruk
34 total

Sites :
Any battleground will do (especially the great gates)
+
Doors of durin (another -1)
Emyn muil (fiercemaker)
Rohan uplands (no archery wounds)

Strategy:
It`s depends heavily on conditions so that`s a downside of course but a well timed invincible uruk sometimes does the trick.

Basically Invincible uruk and fortitude let minions survive until the skirmish.
Weapons of control loaded by 1 fearless approach make a companion total -3 strength.
Isengard sword another -2, That`s a 10 strength aragorn cut in half. Or a halfling cut in a quarter ;)
Suffered much loss makes all the sites battleground and then brutality is… well, just brutal!
Normally I play 1 minion every turn, killing a companion every 2 sites.
Extra fun when the ring bearer is the only one who is unwounded--> barbaric uruk! Maybe with a welltimed neekerbreekers bog: exert every comp except for frodo (due to his high resistance) and voillà! assign barbaric uruk to frodo

Downsides:
-   Tends to clog sometimes so usually I play this next to a somewhat cycling fellowship
-   Works best if you let your opponent walk on your sites
-   Conditionbased is never safe
- Gil-Estel re-thinks your friendship

If you are going to use Suffered Much loss, you might throw in Uruk Rear Guard

Minus the suffered much loss this would make a strong Shadow's block deck.
