I have been trying to build a good frodo signant deck, here is what I have so far.

starting
Frodo, SoD
Legolas, Greenleaf
Gimli DotMR

Companions
Pippin, HoSI
Merry, FtS
Boromir, SoD
Aragorn Heir to the White City
Gandalf, Friend of the Shirefolk
Sam FC

Stuff
Ranger Sword
Blade of Gondor
Armor x2
Gimli's Battle Axe
Sting
Mithril Coat
Hobbit sword
Gandalf's cart
Narya 3R34
Frodo's pipe
Aragorn's pipe
Gimli's pipe
Old Toby x3
Bow of the Galadhrim
Long knives of Legolas
Bill the pony
No stranger to the shadows

Events
Sleep caradhras x2

It's a nine walkers.  I noticed that Frodo comps are good healers and very self sufficent.

Here is something you may want to consider... what happens if you Bow of the Galadhrim and Long knives of legolas at site 1 and you draw Legolas at site 6... your hand is clogged. Same with Gandalf's and Gimli's gear...

I guess your only option is too bid 3 or 4 and start and play Gandalf's cart. I suggest starting with Gimli, DotMR and add 1 Axe.

Yeah, I planned on starting so I could pull gandy's cart.  I've had the problem you've mentioned way too many times to count.  I've lost many a games that way................

Use Sam, Son of Hamfast instead of FC. Bid 5 and remove 3 burdens.

That would break his Frodo signet theme!

However, c10ckw0rk is right... if you rely that much on Gandy's cart, you'll have to be SURE that you start it. You could also do things a bit differently and play Gimli and Legolas as starting, then fetch Merry and Pippin with Farmer Maggot's Fields. Could help...

You know, that's a good idea.  That would really open my hand up by allowing me to play cards from 3 different cultures.  I was thinking I might trade out a pipe for gimli's pipe, but I can't decide which one.  I like that Gimli's counts as a twofer, but I really like aragorn and frodo's.  That leaves gandalf's which is the only burden removal of the deck... sigh.

I think that you don't have enough pipeweeds... I don't think that 3 Old Toby are enough.

I was just thinking the same thing.  Since the events and such are all gathered from companions' texts, I should add a few more pipeweeds.
