I may have wiped you out at 6, but I was doing my best to lose   :ninja:

Tell them what you did. They will get a kick out of it.

Well, I suppose I can this here as it was in the game that caused this post, or I could start a new post called "I'm the stupidest dumbass"

Anyhooo, there we were, battling face to face.
My 3 ents, Gandalf and Frodo without his little hobbit sword, twilight out the wazoo, when triple C throws down another Weapons of Isengard to add to the full one he already has out.
The sweat is starting to run down my face as I know that a bunch of minions are coming my way.
The first minion comes out, slap on the table and it's an archer, then another, and another, and another, and then to my horror, a fifth archer comes raining down on me.
Everyone needs to skirmish.
A quick calculation and I figure that 9 archery wounds are coming my way - 5 archers and 2 Weapons of Isengard.
Frodo becomes exhausted, plus he has to face a minion stronger than him.
With trepidation, I do all the ent battles first, one of my ent dies a horrible death, then a foul and evil uruk archer dies, crushed by foot stomping of another ent (or is it root stomping).
Then Gandalf skirmished and survived.
The moment had arrived and I have nothing to help the exhausted Frodo and I'm convinced that triple C has somthing to boost his 6 strength archer to 8 and the overwhelm.
I pass.
I wait in fear.
He passes.
I then say "Frodo takes a wound, I lose."
After a few moments the cornster says "Why don't you put on the ring."
With a double hand slap to the head, I exclaim rather loudly "THE RING!!! He puts on the ring."
And I placed a burden with a quickly reddening face and survived.

Now some of you may be wondering, what was cccorniv thinking, giving me a lifeline like that. Well, he had won the past 7 or 8 games we'd played, and he wouldn't want to win that way. We help each other out if we miss something that could help.

So there it is - my funniest and stupidest mistake.
I hope you enjoyed it   ;D

Thanks for the second look!  Actually, Barrows of Edoras has a TON of potential... I'm going to have to reevaluate my Towers decks. Here the key:

It does not say "(limit once per turn)."

That should make you go  :o :o :o

 :o indeed.

Hadn't thought of that.  That makes it much more powerful.

Hmmm... I wonder about that though. I don't see any erratum, but...

What's to stop you from playing all of your Free People's cards in one turn? :o

We were just discussing that. We think the limit 1 per turn is implied.

We won't be playing it that way in our games - for us it will be limit 1 per turn to avoid just that scenario.

isn't there a rule that says you can only draw 4 card during each fellowship phase? so in theory that means you can discard you hand all you want but can only use the drawing part 1 time.
If a Balrog falls from a bridge and noone is around, does it make a sound?

So the limit 1 per turn isn't needed   :D

Good one NappyKorn  - that deserves some :gp:
