Yet another orc corruption deck (with a little twist!)
« on: July 10, 2008, 10:25:53 AM »
Hi there guys :)

Hope to get opinions on the following deck i just built myself:

1x Orc Crusher
1x Mountain Troll
3x Gorbag, Filthy Rebel
4x Morgul Tormentor
3x Mocking Goblin
3x Orc Tormentor
4x Isengard Underling
3x Unforgiving Depths
4x Goblin Hordes
4x Bound to its fate
4x Abiding Evil
2x The Beckoning Shadow
2x Dread And Despair

It is an orc corruption deck that will touch a little on discarding and try to confuse the FP player with the beckoning shadow. Gorbag is there to punish the 3 hunters a bit, not to say he's a beast and the pic is awesome :D . The rest is pretty straight forward. The Mountain Troll will help get some guys back along with Goblin Hordes.

It's more of an atempt to do something a bit different than to do the next killing corruption deck.

Any suggestions and opinions are welcome!

Orc corruption is pretty fun actually.  I like Orc Miscreant with a Vicious Warg.  11 strength, fierce, and possibly adds 4 burdens in the regroup phase.  If you pair your deck with Discarding dwarves all of a sudden The Beckoning Shadow isn't just a confusion.  :)

Don't know if you need all 4 Hordes, but I guess it never hurts.

My version of the deck is based around Chaotic Clash, adding burdens so I can use Abiding Evil to make companions very very tiny.  :)

Well, personally i think orc miscreant with vicious warg is just wrong :) i wouldn't do it myself, sounds completely odd and unfair IMHO.

Anyway my previous version used orc miscreant + picket denizen + mordor aggressor + bladed gauntlets. Took some time to set up, but done right I knew i'd get my two burdens plus i could take someone with abiding evil.

Never thought of chaotic clash with abiding evil, really sounds wicked!

Thanks for the opinions!

Id drop the mountain troll, cant see its purpose properly and its too costly in this sort of deck and drop a beckoning shadow for a 4th unforgiving depths.

Apart from that looks a balanced tactic, which is quite novel.

I kinda' have to agree with Fingolfinfinwe. And If you need any Orc Miscreant or pretty much any of the  [Orc] minions from shadows give me a holler.

Plus I kinda like the Mountain-Troll. Put him in with a bunch of Orkish Smiths, and some other low twilight minions and you got it. and Orkish Smith comes in real handy with condition discarding decks (You see a lot of those now-adays).

Time
What know we of this despondent thing
No sign no sound no tranquil ring
We try to tell its quantity
yet fail to see the point
Only one can know of it
to this eternal joint
We have not power in Use
To hold this creature bay
But only wait for it to change
Inside the soul of it we lay
