I will crush all of you...

« on: September 19, 2010, 09:12:37 AM »

I'm starting to post some of my real life Decks now, which are both Poorman's and War of the Ring Block legal. I'll post a link to the Poorman's section to make this Deck available to both formats.

Link to the Poorman's list.

Frodo, Protected by Many
The One Ring, The Ruling Ring*

Free People (30):

1x Farmer Maggot, Hobbit of the Marish (starting)
1x Merry, Loyal Companion (starting)
1x Sam, Steadfast Friend (starting)
1x Tolman Cotton, Farmer of Bywater
4x Westfarthing Businessman
4x Sworn Companion
3x Hope is Kindled
2x No worse for wear
1x Crouched Down
4x Sudden Fury
2x Faith in Friendship
2x Measure of Comfort
4x Hobbit Sword*

Well, some of words to the card choices here:

First, some of you might expect seeing Crouched Down 4 times here, but that's a different kind of Deck. This Deck resolves more about Sudden Fury, so No worse for wear. Hope is Kindled in combination with Sudden Fury and/ or Sworn Companion is guaranteed Burden Removal. Otherwise, the Deck is very simple but uses some clever tricks as Westfarthing Businessman can be strength 10 with a Hobbit Sword whilst all token cards are in play.

Add The Gaffer, Master Gardener.

Gandalf, Leader of the Company could help your Hobbits survive the early game--while you are setting up your token cards for the late game. Gandalf would allow you to also use Alatar, Final Envoy.
