HowdahSo as you might be able to tell from the card distribution, this deck relies on its conditions to do the damage. The deck is essentially built around exploiting
Oath Sworn. The strategy is pretty simple: play stuff as you get it and hope to draw the mouth of Sauron so you can set up your conditions. When you finally land that bad boy, exert him to grab a
pavise,
countless companies, and the boarding axe. He's still got one more grab left which I would use on a
Howdah if you have an archer out. It important to set that up with a token.
Keep using the mouth of sauron to grab your other conditions and possessions until you have a few copies of
oath sworn out there, a
rapid reload,
howdah, and a fleet of ships. Once you have this set up, let the fun begin. Play 2 minions and play the corsair axe on one of them. Use
oath sworn to add a butt load of twilight. In archery, use
rapid reload to exert all their unbound companions. If there is any twilight left come the skirmish phase, use the axe to cake up tokens on
Howdah so you can drop a zillion archery on them the next site.
And that's basically it. Exhaust the fellowship with
Oath Sworn/Rapid Reload (4 copies of
Oath Sworn out there = 10 exerts!) and finish them off with the archers you played. Or you can wait until the skirmish phase and rack up the tokens on
Howdah (4 Oath Sworns out = 10 tokens = +5 archery at the next site). If an opponent discards any of your conditions, you can always bring them back with Fleet of Ships and
Pirate Cutthroat with a
pavise is another healthy way of raking in those all important tokens.
