Final Triumph
« on: August 30, 2008, 07:38:23 AM »
I built this deck awhile back and believe I may have posted it on CC. I looked around and saw it was here and decide to share the deck.

Shadow (35)
2x *Fortitude (11U185
4x Deathly Roar (17C113
4x Final Triumph (18R115
3x *Ugluk, Ugly Fellow (15R172
3x *White Hand Marshall (18R127
3x Uruk Village Assassin (15C176
2x Uruk-hai Troop (12R157
4x White Hand Scout (17C130
4x White Hand Veteran (17R135
2x Isengard Siege Bow (11U191
4x Spear of the White Hand (17U117)

Strategy:

Of course the main goal is to get those high vitality uruk-hai to overwhelm lesser vitality equipped companions. The real trick was how to reuse the event over and over again since only 4 can go in a deck. I searched far and wide and finally found White Hand Veteran. Now how to easily copntrol a site. Well removing [Uruk-Hai] tokens seemed easy enough with Uruk Village assassin so I decided to go that route first. Fortitude seemed the most appealing since when played you get the magically number of tokens added to it. Even if you don't use it for site control it helps keep the Uruk-Hai unwounded. Next of course is the lovely Deathly Roar. He the play their possession you get tokens and like Fortitude it can also help with the vitality issue comps may have. Of course the ultimate minion for the deck is Ugluk, if they don't run hunter companions say hello to my little friend. The rest of the minions have 3 or more vitality and there are vitality boosts with the possesions. The free to play Spear of the White Hand and if you get to a Battleground hit them with an arrow courtesy the Siege Bow. All in all seems pretty solid but hard to get it rolling against a nasty choking fellowship . Any leave your comments as you will.

If a Balrog falls from a bridge and noone is around, does it make a sound?

I remember designing this deck with you. And then you used it on me. And killed Durin at site 3...

Not sure what you mean. For Final Triumph to work it must be an Uruk-Hai's skirmish, not and Uruk-Hai culture minion. If that isn't what you meant then pumping a minion's strength doesn't help with Final Triumph either since the skirmish is resolved by the vitality of the 2 skirmishing . I wish Final Triumph did work simply with [Uruk] culture minions, but it has to be an actual Uruk-Hai in the skirmish.

True, my bad. Vitality resolves, it is still vitality, not a strength.
