Looking for a shadow to change meta on Gemp
« on: August 28, 2013, 02:26:44 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have noticed that in movie block, there are two sorts of very popular fellowship that I am fed up to play against on Gemp:
- Dwarves, that get insanely strong for no twilight
- Massive direct wounding, where you can't do much but see you minions dying before being able to move a finger

I already have a shadow that can deal efficiently with both of them (corruption during the shadow phase), but I'm looking for more ideas.

I'm thinking Easterling Polearm against direct wounding, but I'm open to other suggestions

Raider Bow Polearm beasterlings should work against both of those decks.

Thanks for the tip, I will try that.

Are there good cards that punish multi cultural decks?

There are several cards like that :
- Grima CC, the best one
- Desert Stalker
- Orc Insurgent
- and some others ;)

I find Southron Leader much better than Desert Stalker, but both will lose out to cards like Slaked Thirsts or Fury of the White Rider.  So does Grima, CC (I really hate that card, though).  I find that Besiegers can work against Dwarves, and Mordor Pillager will certainly punish the Multi-culture fellowships getting you all the sites you need.  My multi-cultural fellowship has a very tough time against Dunland, totally relying on Roll of Thunder to get rid of Hides since most direct wounding cards add twilight.  If you get them all, though, it's an easy stroll to the finish.

Can you maybe post the shadow which can corrupt during the shadow phase? Try to build a deck like this and haven´t found anything so far
