Nelya, Fell Rider Wounding (Shadow only)
« on: October 08, 2008, 02:48:41 PM »
1x *Ring of Asperity (9R42
2x *Ring of Rancor (9R44
1x *Ring of Savagery (17R142
3x Lingering Shadow (12U166
3x Lost in the Woods (11U212
2x Unending Life (12C181
2x Echo of Hooves (12C164
4x *Ulaire Enquea, Thrall of the One (10R68
3x *Ulaire Lemenya, Black Enemy (12U176
4x *Ulaire Nelya, Fell Rider (15R186
2x *Ulaire Toldea, Thrall of the One (10R71
3x Black Rider (12U161
3x Shadowy Mount (12R171

So the focus here is to kill with Nelya, Fell Rider. Slap the conditions on the companions, then when you are ready, drop Nelya with Ring of Rancor and Shadowy Mount. Combo'd with Unending Life thats upto 3 wounds on one companion.

I have considered a Put Forth His Strength deck, any suggestion of how to do this?

Just a thought, but maybe this could be shifted to a threat build (Cantea FTW, Lemenya ET, even Held Ground). Threats interfere with Thorongil (and Ranger's Longbow) as well as Rumil/Orophin SE. They Feel the Precious can prevent wounds in a pinch. Cantea brings possession removal to the table, and Morgul King and/or Ring of Terror can get some more recursion going.

Or to get more use out of burdens, Cantea BA can force assignments against 0-resistance companions. Against large fellowships, Fell Rider ensures your Nazgul make it to the skirmish (unless they trip over IB), and then BA chooses who dies. Dark Horseman can be a threat/burden machine against ARBs.

Put Forth His Strength could be splashed into Morcs. NappyKorn had an Expanded deck that was using Enquea/Ring of Rancor to kill companions, and of course initiative/burdens/threats come with the territory. In Standard... just beat up guys the hard way?
