So.... this is a crazy idea I have been toying with. WTG is a sweet card but the chance for him to overwhelmed is too much. What we need is dead minions. So... The Faithful Stone, Brego, Scouting, Make Haste and WTG text mean choking/exerting/wounding death.

The only 'downside' is to retrieve Smeagol, I have to rely on Incited. I have considered Very Nice Friends or Days Growing Dark. Any other smart ideas?

Gimme some feedback

I can imagine that you love WTG, but is he worth the trouble? I mean you are working your #$&*@! off to pull this off, hoping that gollum will win, where there are many ways, well there are ways to get around Gollum, meaning you won't get to use Incited, so you don't get to pull back Smeagol.
Also, just 2 Shelobs? That means there is a possibility that you don't pull her early. She is the cherry on the pie man!

If you want to replay smeagol why not run that frosdo that lets you replay him by addins a burden. You are running  home and hearth pippin engine so they burdens should be fine anyway. You should worry more about tossing those threats than get smeagol back . Sting ELK is good but running very few companions ands only having that one card to peel the threats each time you move is what needs to be focused one IMHO.

I run a WTG deck with just the pippin. Thought about faithful stone (when it comes in from a trade), but it works quite nicely without it. Smeagol is too much of a liabilty IMO so scrape him and fill the deck with more important cards .

As its standard I cant use that Frodo unfortunately. This deck is annoyingly fiddly I agree :(

Incited works quite well, but I still like the Days Growing Dark idea. Helps cycle too. Maybe Swear by the Precious?

I'm thinking I will move this deck to Expanded, use Frodo, Master of the Precious and Be Back Soon, Swear by the Precious and Days Growing Dark with Daddy Twofoot and Shirrif Cock-Robin for cycle. I am considering Never for threat removal, because if I choke enough there will be no minions played, then I can still get rid of Smeagol for a benefit! I would drop Scouting. Also, Knife of the Galadhrim for Aragorn for obvious reasons. No way to get a mount on him unfortunately. Maybe Shadowplay?

If you can find 2 [Shire] companions, why not Shadowplay? Pippin Engine? Shadowplay 'em with pip, bounce with Make Haste
