Nice! Now if we can only drop Frodo, what a sight that would be. "Yeah, I didn’t even play anything and he killed himself at site 4!" Laughing

Namarie is a crazy card. The lore makes me laugh, though: "We shall not meet again, Elessar... so here’s a stack of tokens to blow up all the conditions you’ll ever see!" / "Gee thanks, old lady, this is really useful!"

Maybe Meneldor as well?

I prefer him more in my dedicated follower deck, though, Pallando, Radagast, Alatar, Gwaihir and Meneldor w/ Barliman Butterbur and Strange Meeting. Very Happy

Ok here is another question you mention adding Meneldor and possible Gwaihir. Say I have Gwaihir attached to Radagast for some reason and I win the skirmish, do I get to exert the minion skirmishing Radagast before the actual wound from winning the skirmish? If so that wound be a sweet way to get a damage +1 radagast in a sense Shocked . Not sure if it will work that way though. Not to mention what would suggest dropping for these two followers? I think that adding 4 extra cards to the deck would just make it harder to grab either Radagast or my backup Saved From the Fire early.

Your deck is pretty tight, so it’s hard to see any cards that you can take out. The events are what I would usually go after, although they came in handy during our game.

As for the Gwaihir, it seems like the wizard winning the skirmish is the cause, and the exertion is the effect. I may be wrong (and often am, lol), but I don’t think you could exert the minion before the skirmish winning wound, sorry. Sad Maybe someone else will prove me wrong, though?

That card blows SM its broken in its extreme!

I thought that even though the skirmish has been won its not ended yet until wounds have been placed etc.. so that the exertion could be placed on the losing minion. I could be wrong though as ive never tried it.

Yeah, that might actually work, NK. Think Looks like it (almost) did in this case!

I’m still trying to see if I could make it work with JUST Gandalf and Radagast. Probably not, but it should be fun to try. Now if I can just find the time to actually PLAY on SdA again....

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

With Gwaihir, I believe it falls under the FP choosing the order.

Hence, Gwaihir works as better than damage +1, whereas Saruman, Servant of Sauron does not.

See Treebeard, for example.

Sweet I will add in Meneldor and Gwaihir and remove my 2 Look to my coming then, They will be stronger with the followers than with a one time event anyway. Thanks for the advice.

It worked rather well believe it or not. Like I said though probably now a tournament level deck but was rather fun to play. Good luck finding a way to make it just Gandy and Radagast. IMO it will be way to hard to keep Gandy from corrupting since every move you will have no choice but to add the burdens. You will need unreal amount of burden removal and that will take away from being able for 2 comps to win a skirmish (making Watch and Wait useless). Good luck with it anyway, and hope you find a way to make it work Very Happy

Sorry guys, Gwaihir will not work that way. His text says: If bearer is a (G) Wizard, each time bearer wins a skirmish, you MAY exert a minion (if that minion is a Wizard, wound it instead).

Placing the wound for winning the skirmish is a MANDATORY action. Placing the exertion from Gwaihir is an OPTIONAL action. Mandatory actions ALWAYS come before optional actions. When there is more than one mandatory action or more than one optional action, then the FP Player chooses the order of those particular actions.

Ach. Oh yeah. I remembered there was some rule about that, but I forgot temporarily.

But he’s still pretty good.
