Bilbo, Bearer of Things Burgled
SAWTC

Gandalf, Leader of Men
Pippin, Steadfast Friend
Merry,

Skinbark, Fladrif x4

Ent Draught x3
Escape x2
Consorting With Wizards
The Red Book of Westmarch
Stone Trolls x2
Scouring of the Shire
Everyone Knows x4
G for Grand x4
Stern Words x4
Kept Safe x2

Hobbit Swords x3
Glamdring, Foehammer
Gandalf’s Staff
Kept Safe x2
Radagast’s Herb Bag

I’m not sure which merry to use. The idea is to get the hobbits big using Everyone knows. and G for Grand. Stern Words for kicks. Pippin should get to 3+2 for hobbit swords + 4 for G for Grand + 8 for tales + 12 for his vitality and escape and ent draught =29 =32 while fighting a troll or uruk-hai. and then there’s stern words. +8 =40

I build almost the same deck in standard and I drop the idea to use in tournment because this deck is realy good again troll like you said but you get a bad time again any archery deck, wounding deck and swarm deck. I didn’t find any way to resolve the problem to prevent enought wound, but I like your idea to use Skinbark, Fladrif for some Applause

For Merry, if you want to go Standard, I’d use Merry, Loyal Companion or, perhaps better since you’re using Skinbark, Merry, In the Bloom of Health, who will make Skinbark even cheaper. If you go with ITBoH, I’d then suggest throwing in a few copies of Southfarthing Leaf for some decent pumps for Merry and Pippin, though that’s hardly necessary.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Swarm would be a major problem. Either merry oer the brandywin or loyal companion would be the best to use IMHO. kept safe should help with wounds then add fates entwined time 3-4 and you should have no trouble absorbing archery swarm though...

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

The tale of the Great Ring is what I’m thinking about for swarm and it’s a tale.

if they have events you are screwed...if you have some sudden fury and lost a few skirmishes that would do it, or splashed a sam. maybe proper poet with an ent draught, he could take 3 minions.

There and Back Again would be a good boost for your Hobbits AND it’s a tale so it would help Pippin get even stronger. I would definitely put that in.
