Yes, you can. But it’s usually not a good idea, if your entire goal is corruption. Throw a few in any sauron deck and slap them on a companion, to discourage the freeps player from assigning them... but if corruption is the way you want to go, its best to spread them out and get as many companions bearing them assigned as possible, instead of the freeps player simply leaving that ONE companion unassigned.
However, if your opponent is running a deck with few companions... |

What is really fun with alternate ring bearers is Desperate Defense of the Ring with Thin and Stretched on the ring bearer.
That will really make you think twice about assigning him/her, but it also hurts if you don’t. |

Not Only Mouth Of Sauron but also Bill Ferny. He is even better because you can play for DDTR on RINGBEARER and then assing Ferny to him |
