Ouch. That ability could actually hurt the guy...or help, depending on the deck...maybe takes no more than one wound per phase.

Sounds like Heay Axe only cheaper and with a less cool special. I recomend giving it some cool special, or at least a damage bonus, maybe +2. And change the title.

I think you can reduce the cost to , the strength bonus to +2, and then have an easy way to get another +1 strength. Maybe even something simple like hunter. For example:
Iron Axe
Possession • Hand Weapon
Strength +2.
Bearer must be a Dwarf.
Bearer gains hunter 1 (or hunter 2 if at a mountain or underground site).
That mountain/underground stuff is totally optional. Heck, the whole suggestion is optional. But it would make it stand out more among existing hand weapons.

Yeah, this could use some work; like NB said, there are several events that would completely overshadow this. The only thing I really see going for it is that it costs nothing, but then even cards like Axe Strike, Best Company, Battle Tested, and Sharp Defense make it all but useless. How about this:
Hatred of the Orcs
Event • Skirmish
Make a Dwarf companion skirmishing an Orc , , or minion strength +2 (or strength +4 is that minion is an Orc).
I think that still captures the intent of your card and still manages to stand out nicely among the other similar events.

Yeah, a couple generic companions stink, but they’re there, and we can’t completely ignore them...or overshadow them.
I’d recommend something like this:
Dwarven Scout
Companion • Dwarf
Strength: 6
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Hunter 1.
Now he might see use. He doesn’t overshadow Dwarf Guard since he costs more, and he doesn’t overshadow Dwarven Warrior because this guy can get more strength than the Warrior (and be spotted as a hunter, of course). If you want, you can throw the "to play, spot a Dwarf" text back in, but I don’t think he needs it, personally. Up to you; it doesn’t hurt to have it.
Hope that helps. I don’t like rewriting people’s cards, but in this case, they need some tweaking to stand out. |

IDK if this is better but i suggested.
