Neat. I think it needs a comma between "turn" and "spot", and "wound" at the end of the last sentence. Perhaps you could also give this version 8 resistance or something, since his ability is a tiny bit weak (outside of protecting the RB, of course).

Regroup: Discard 2 Gollum cards from hand to heal Deagol and remove a burden.

Deagol ring-bearer, nice touch. I’d make the second ability ’or’ rather than ’and’, but otherwise great.

Doesn’t gollum normally have site 3? Absolutely rock. Do you have to say ’any site 8 or 9’? Maybe just saying ’region 3’ would be better.
