I looked at it one time, but doesnt it cost allot of money just to get 'digital' cards that can only be played online? meh i looked at it like a year ago and it just seemed like a waste of money.
I could be wrong. |

Does anyone know where you can get good (cheap) LOTR Online resources other than Lotronline (sorry about the redundance  ) |

I say they take 19.99 and give you access to all the cards.
Until something like that happens, they can’t have my money. I’m not paying for digital cards. |

The Idea is actually really good, because you:
A: Have your cards always organized.
B: Have hundreds of people to play against at all times
C: More tournaments than in the real world
D: Dont have to worry about things being sold out
E: Cards are always mint condition...
It’s a pretty good idea IMO. Just you dont have the feel of inked cardboard smudging underneath your slimy fingers.... I only wish I hade broadband internet.... |

"Hundreds" is an overstatement, especially if the on-demand tournaments are your thing. I worked up a 1900 rating in Middle-Earth and Hunters booster drafts, but spent a good many hours listening to the crickets chirping along the way...
There’s definitely a nice online player base for casual games, though. |

Ok, here’s my honest opinion, having played both.
If I were just looking to get started in in LotR TCG I would opt for the online version. Here’s why.
A) Can still play against friends, just get them to join.
B) Easier to play games (more people)
C) Fellowship package is reasonable and gives you a constant influx of cards
D) Easier- Online collection allows you to use the same card in multiple decks, it’s easy to sort, don’t have to worry about them getting damaged etc.
E) They have access to new cards more quickly and they’re always in stock.
Now if you’re already playing the physical card game, it’s not as benefical. Now you have to split your money between the two games to get the same good cards. And while you’re using one (Online or Physical) the other is sitting around rotting.
That’s just my take though. In hind sight I wish I could have gone full TCG Online. |

I like Phazanzar’s idea, but then they wouldnt make much money off of it.
I think they should create an online "deck testing" gaming center. You could pay like 10-$20 for a yearly membership to access all cards and play "direct connect" with as many friends as you wanted. All you would need is the host’s IP# and you could set up a time to play with friends. It wouldnt take the place of the original LOTR online. It wouldnt have tournaments and prizes, but it would be a fun way for people to try dream decks or test their ones at home against other people.
It would help people to gain experience with their decks
It would promote TCG sales
It would help keep customers interested in TCG gaming
They could make a little money off of it
And it would be really fun!
And its not limited to LOTR of course.... there would be a Majic center too.
