Does anyone have a definitive answer on this?

Mumak Commander, GatS exerts twice to exert a companion twice. I use unheeded on the second exertion, therefore killing MC, GatS. Does my companion still get exerted twice?

I would say yesseeing as the cost was already paid to exert with MC, GAtS.The cost of him exerting comes before unheeded would have killed. So cost is paid and effect triggers before death.

Yes, since the cost was paid and so the effect will take place.

If you want to prevent the effect from taking place, you could play Unheeded as a response to the first exertion. It wouldn’t kill the Commander, but you would be spared the two exertions he gives you.

It makes sense to me now.

The cost has been paid, so regardless of the fact that the minion is discarded, the effect occurs.

And I had considered keeping him alive in the way you described bib, but I decided he was better off dead Twisted Evil

Wait...methinks that exert twice = exertions occur simultaneously.

Wounds are always placed one at a time... so I assume that would apply to wounds placed due to exertions... Think

Almost nothing in this game occurs simultaneously. You exert one at a time.
