Title: The One Ring
Post by: Larry5000 on September 01, 2017, 08:22:41 PM
When I was working on the Ringbearer card I thought it would be cool to do another One Ring Card just for the fun of it. This card in a way could be pretty powerful as basically it is a combination of all the rings really. The text is hard to read on those so called fire like backgrounds. I forgot to subtitle this one, but one on a much more harder to read card with way more flames was subtitled Ring In a Time of Need, so maybe this could have that subtitle.

Anyway since it is hard to read I will tell you what it says:
Fellowship: Exert Bearer to play a ring from your draw deck.

Maneuver: Exert bearer to wear the one ring until the regroup phase.
While wearing the one ring the ringbear is strength + 2 and each minion
skirmishing bearer looses fierce until the end of turn.

Response: If bearer is about to take a wound, take a burden instead.

Again, I already know it is too powerful combining many of the rings together. So I guess it does not need to be said. Unlike Eowyn that we do use in a Rohan Deck, we do not even play with this one at all. Just something to do. By the way there were many fire scenes for backgrounds to chose from and even many decent pictures of the Ring as well. This one is a bit more simpler. I tried other colors of text but never found one to work really well on the card.

It looks like it blows the card up a little so it might be a tad blurry, the card is actually a bit smaller.

As you've said, it's basically a fusion of Mithril Coat, Dwarf-Mail and every The One Ring save The Great Ring. I'd still use The Great Ring on a variety of Ring-Bearers over this, but there's no real point using any other ring; being able to convert wounds to burdens without even wearing it is pretty crazy.

Not having to wear the ring to convert wounds into burdens is... not just a bit weird. And obviously it is blatantly overpowered regardless of that :)

The image looks cool tho!
