[9] •Smaug, The Magnificent (R)
Minion • Dragon
Strength: 18
Vitality: 5
Site: 7
Fierce. Damage +2.
Smaug cannot take wounds (except during the archery phase)
At the end of the archery phase, if Smaug took any wounds in the archery phase, reveal the top card of your draw deck. If the twilight of the revealed card is greater than the remaining hit points on Smaug, discard Smaug from play.

[1] •Dragon's Hoard (R)
Condition • Support area
Dragon's hoard cannot be discarded while Smaug is in play.
When you play Smaug, each companion bearing an artifact either takes a wound or stacks an artifact they bear on this card.
If Dragon's Hoard is discarded, play Smaug from your hand or discard pile. His twilight cost is -2 for each card stacked here.

I think you mean "Hoard" as in Treasure, not "Horde" as in Large Army.

You are right, updated!
Another possibility for Dragon's Hoard:
[1] •Dragon's Hoard (R)
Condition • Support area
Dragon's hoard cannot be discarded while Smaug is in play.
When a character is killed by Smaug, stack each artifact and possession born by that character on Dragon's Hoard.
If Dragon's Hoard is discarded, play Smaug from your hand or discard pile. His twilight cost is -1 for each card stacked here.
"A dragon will guard his treasure as long as he lives"

Very cool card that Dragon's Hoard! We have such little to do against artifacts. Only some late trolls, I guess.
-
I think that these cards I great. Great flavor.
There is only one small practical problem though. Some players may end up becoming confused by mixing their cards together when stacking on Dragon's Hoard.

Thanks for the comments! There is already precedent for stacking other players cards on your stuff (Twisted Tales comes to mind). Plus I was going for flavor more than playability :)

I was thinking the same thing :) Which version do you like better?

Oh. I forgot about that one! Awesome then!

I think it should be worded like this:
... If the twilight cost of the revealed card is greater than the remaining vitality on Smaug, discard Smaug from play.

Great mechanic about the Hoard, but I think that Smaugs' penalty is to high, and makes him very very vunerable.
Unless you create another card, that would work similar to Hides for Dunlands, that could prevent him from beeing wounded, something like Dragons Hide
